Here at AI in Aotearoa, we envision a future where artificial intelligence (AI) is leveraged to benefit our communities, our whenua (land), and our unique cultural heritage. This project is born out of a desire to create AI assets that are tailored to our distinct New Zealand context. These assets include classifications, models, vectors, and prompts that can be used by our citizens and mana whenua (people of the land).
Our aim is to foster an open-source ecosystem where knowledge and resources are shared freely, empowering individuals and communities across our nation to harness the potential of AI. Whether you are a developer, a researcher, or simply someone with a passion for AI and a love for Aotearoa, there's a place for you here.
